The list below offers national employment resources, independent living and referral networks for persons with disabilities.
NISH.org is a national nonprofit agency which creates employment opportunitities for people with severe disabilities by securing government contracts through the Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD) program. Employment opportunities are provided to over 45,00 people. The JWOD program is the largest source of jobs for people who are blind or have other severe disabilities in the U.S. There are more than 600 participating nonprofit organizations which employ these individuals and provide quality goods and services to the government at a fair price.
