My Little Masterpiece...
A Work In Progress

Are you with me little one? Have you soaked up the days events, now that the day is done?

Is the path mommy chooses for you clear? I do only whats best for you dear.

I cannot see you look so lost, it would be the end of me before I allow my efforts tossed.

Day in and Day out,my mind is in motion. Thinking of ways to teach you, theres no end to my devotion.

Do you go through the days I plan for you in pain? Would you rather chase rainbows after the rain? Those moments you stare so deep into me, I hold them close you're my destiny.

Do you wish I was naive and accepted you as you are, never pushing you to do better or expecting you to be up to par. I wonder where you'd be if I left you alone, in that mystical little world that you call home.

Yet I have chosen to make you part of this judgmental earth, while trying to defeat the cards dealt the day of your birth. I hope you forgive me for being so strong and ambitious, but without me this world could be very viscious.

One thing is for sure my love, one day you’ll understand, that your mommy loves you with a passion that some can't comprehend. I work with you through cries and screams and I've dodged a toy or two...Know that I hear you, Know that it hurts me,but I push fowarded for you.

I know it would be easier to let you go at your own rate, but later in life if I ask for help it may be too late. Though my days are long, my body tired, and strength weakening day- by-day, if I left this world tomorrow I would take no regrets to my grave.I didnt leave you crippled in this world with undeniable strife, my focus has always been the chance for a fuller life. Now you look for my kisses and hugs, something you never used to do.

My son you have come so far I know its been hard for you.
I will be with you always, praying for the strength to prevail, have comfort knowing I'm not a "typical mother" and I will not let you fail. You are my life, my soul, what drives the blood in my veins. Maybe God sent you to me unfinished and its my job to take hold of the reins.

To finish you my little masterpiece, Ill work and prod everyday. With never ending devotion and commitment I wouldnt have it any other way.
